Crashing out to music, enabling self-strain in the act of creating, finding balance between outward expression and inward solace. Hasan Ibn Talibdin El-Amin is a multidisciplinary artist who took up photography in the latter part of high school. He did so with the purpose of making a bomb Instagram page. Strongly influenced by the vaporwave movement, he found himself working to distort the portraits and landscapes he captured into unique off-the-wall pieces. As he moved out of his city and into college, he found that he had less opportunity for photography. Not wanting to lose his artistic edge he dove headfirst into digital art. This decision was humbling. While he had accomplished satisfaction within his work as a photographer, he struggled in the early days of adopting digital creation. However, he did not let these struggles deter him. Instead, he embraced the learning process. Through trial and error, he was able to find beauty in the distortions of his failure. A distinct style emerged that encompassed his personality at any given moment in time, the art of balanced tweaking. Hasan's pieces are eye candy, works that light up the eye, mind, and soul like fireworks in the night sky. His next challenge was finding a way to balance creating with intention and profiting. The solution came to him in the form of FOR4VER, a clothing brand built around the pursuit of intention in creation, customization, and curation. A collection of pieces designed to speak to the synchronicity of society. Innately, Hasan is a product of his parents. Both being former pro-black politicians in St. Louis, Missouri. Their example paved a path for him away from the traps of segregation within his city. Growing up he helped with their various campaigns cultivating a natural ability to conversate in the process. Throughout his experiences he has used these skills to develop connections with a diverse community of individuals, never looking to place anyone in the box of assumption. Outside of his parents he has been inspired by individuals in music such as Lil B, Bootsy Collins, and the Parliament for their innovation and authenticity in their respective realms. Hasan is someone who appreciates the pace and interaction of any given place or time. He pursues new experiences and lives as though life is a video game, each quest bringing unknown rewards and growth. Hasan is a pretty jolly dude that embraces life outside the bounds of aesthetics. Choosing instead to enjoy the innominate factors of each next step.
