Mona Lisa was left as a lasting memory. A muse of a different era whose image has transgressed time. Human history is filled with these kinds of works. Borne of those who affirmed themselves daily by practicing their art. Cierra Jade Fogle goes beyond affirming, enabling the essence of art to possess and pour forth from them in any given breath. Their creative decadence began in elementary. They would write stories about themself living other lives. Envisioning themself as a wielder of magic, a mermaid, a superhuman, as themselves at the age of twenty-two. But as they got older the imagined versions became too fictitious, too far from who they were becoming. They sought some medium more honest to themselves. Poetry was what emerged, it being more direct in its expression. As they became more independent in life, creation became more instinct and less thought. On sleepless nights, awakening in the haunting hours, Cierra would go out and tag buildings rather than watch Television. They wanted to be loud silently, to leave lasting signs of their legacy. As a graffiti artist, Cierra embalmed dead buildings with new life to preserve. The artistic foundation for their current skill of painting found its roots during this time.  With an affinity for the spontaneous, visual art announced itself as the new medium for Cierra's expression. In their first studio, Cierra moved her art from where it was as a novice across the chaos to where it is now. Their days being spent alone immersed in music and all manner of mediums. Artists like LA Timpa and Dean Blunt evoking Cierra to fling free their anger, compassion, fear, anxiety, tears, screams, joy, into the canvas. Each piece a reminder of some past experience, whether personal, or felt by all of society. In life Cierra is someone who strives for authenticity in themself, taking intention to care for their needs first. This drive for originality has drawn other artistic and original people to them over the years. Helping to build up their community into a strong system of support that cares for one another with respect and admiration. Watching Cierra create is like sitting near the spring of all that is considered art. Inspiration is felt in that space and like time it flows. Flows like a river of honey, nostalgic and filling and raw.
